It takes a lot of work but it is well worth the sacrifices you will make. When you are first starting out try to define what it is you have to offer people. I am not speaking about your product or business. What will make people want to follow and work with you? What is it about you that will drive people to you? Think about it for a few minutes.
People look for someone they can connect with. Everyone of us has a story I call a journey. You must let people know who you are if you plan to network and be successful at doing it. You must be truthful, be yourself and tell your story to others. Automatically you will attract people with like-minded interests, goals and aspirations. It’s just one of the laws of nature.
Marketing is about people and connections. The more you relate, the better you become at prospecting and also positioning yourself as a leader in the industry. You begin to provide value in a person’s life and YES, you become valuable to them. Never be afraid to connect.
The internet is an awesome way to meet, connect and socialize. Join meet-up groups and attend workshops regularly. Be open, genuinely connect and honestly get to know the people you come in contact with. Find out their background, hobbies, values and motivations.
Most of all, be yourself and stay connected. The benefits are great and you will have lots of fun. While you listen to others you will also be interacting and putting your story out there. You will find people who want to find out more about you and your business almost effortlessly! Stay on the course and enjoy your ventures!
